More Info about the Chip

They do not have the ability to transmit any data. The reader has to be within inches of the chip to bounce a signal off to read it.  This type of chip is about the size of a grain of rice, placed in the fat behind their left ear,  and provides irrefutable id through-out their life, including if the pig is stolen or goes 'walk about'.
